
Burke Greenwood is principal of Burke Greenwood_architect, a small firm focused on quality design which integrate energy efficient strategies. Mr. Greenwood received his Bachelors Degree in Environmental Design from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio and a Masters Degree in Architecture along with a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering focused on Construction Management from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. In 2004, he lived abroad spending 18 months in Melbourne, Australia followed by 18 months in Beijing China working for internationally recognized design firms. In 2007 he returned to his home Chicago working in a local firm through 2009 when he founded Burke Greenwood_architect. In Fall of 2012, the firm relocated to Barcelona, Spain.
In addition to architecture, Burke Greenwood is a Certified Registered Energy Assessor through the Illinois Weatherization Assistance Program (2010). He has helped provide assistance to help homeowners increase their homes energy efficiency as well as participate in specialized grant funded projects to help educate and innovate the industry in ways housing can be retrofitted to become more energy efficient.
